Unlike last year, Perc Trax is releasing on vinyl and digitally all through the summer, here's the latest...
1. Avus' 'Tapeworm EP' is out now on vinyl. Support has come from James Holden, Alex Kid, Jesse Somfay, Matt Tolfrey, Butane, James Mowbray, Chloe Harris, Marc Ashken plus great reviews in IDJ and Mixmag.
2. The new digital-only single by Spartak (aka me) is out now. 'Double Compressed' and 'Double Dub' are two typical techy Spartak bangers and are the last release on Perc Trax Digital before it gets a major overhaul for the autumn; some very exciting releases in a few months time so keep 'em peeled.
3. Also recently out are the Avus and Perc remixes of Robert Babicz's 'Stars' on Barbarella which seem to be going down very well. I have a string of remixes in the pipeline, but more about them soon, as well as some gig news.
We are proud to announce that we will be playing the backroom in Sankeys Soap Manchester. Not only are we playing in one of the UK's most famous clubs but we are playing for Ibizas newest underground promotion "The Zoo Project"... It's going to be off the wall and the very special guest is still yet to be announced.
All the way from the other side of the pond we present digweeds second hand woman!! For DJ'ing that is!! :) Keeping it very underground we for one cant fooking wait!! Also flying in for support we have DJ Samer to grace the afterparty turntables. Last time Samer played he tore the roof off and if you were there all them years ago you will remember.
Its with great pleasure we have added a new pretty face to the *rr camp. James the studmuffin Barnsley of Back2Basics and Whalebow fame, he will now be pleasuring you lot with his beats on a bi monthly basis. He reckons he will also be pleasuring the ladies with his charming looks and his pocket banana.......Yeah righto James just stick to what you do best and play them records son!!!! ;-)
Well everything went more then perfect all the lads where on tip top form and really impressed the promoters and i'm sure riffraff will be back on the shindig turntables soon enough :)
The boys were even better than we thought they would be. What a night this was. I wanna do it all over again.
The man from way out west came and knocked our socks off. The blend of melodic house and chunky beats suited our gaff and made a refreshing change for people. Never have we had so many people complimenting on how good the music actually was.
James is a regular face at Fabric and the Cross in London and it was excellent to have the man play @ *riffraff. The crowd really went for it and he pleased them all the way back to the afterparty. Cheers James.
